History

The Freeburg-Waterloo Raging Bulldogs are a highly successful club team in the  Mississippi Valley Club Hockey Association (MVCHA). Competing in southern Illinois, we draw players from both Freeburg and Waterloo high schools. Over the years, we have established deep competitive rivalries across our region.

We've been a formidable program, known for consistently deep postseason runs. We have contended for both the Varsity 1A and Varsity 2A championships. Some notable recent program milestones include: 

• 2024 Championship: The team won the MVCHA Varsity 1A Championship in commanding fashion, sweeping the Triad Knights in a best-of-three series. 
• 2020 Finals Appearance: The Raging Bulldogs advanced to the Varsity 2A finals after a tense, series-deciding semifinal victory over the Collinsville Kahoks. 
• Program Growth: A staple in local Illinois hockey, the club operates both Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams onsistently developing top-tier talent in the region.
